Safety and Facility Coordinator - Mascot Sydney

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a well organised and forward thinking Safety and Facility Coordinator to join a growing team based in Mascot, Sydney.  Our client is a trusted provider of engineering and maintenance support and services for airport ground handlers and airlines throughout Australia.  

This is a newly created, hands on role, and as such you will be responsible for the safety oversight of the groups six facilities across Australia.  You will ideally will come from an aviation, mining or similar background and have had experience managing safety in multi site operations. 

Day to day you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting and completing site safety audits.

  • The role out of the safety management plan upgrade.

  • Coordinating and disseminating the key safety bulletins and training.

  • Promoting and collaborating with the operations team to ensure group safety standards are applied in all facilities.

  • Implementing the groups safety policies and procedures.

  • Ensure complete understanding of current OHS legislation.

  • Adhering to and meeting all monthly safety reporting requirements.

  • Measuring and reporting all lost time injuries.

  • Review and closing out all incident reports. 

To be successful as part of this team you will:

  • Hold a current safety qualification ideally Certificate III, IV or Graduate level. 

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Be able to demonstrate good organisation, planning and time management skills.

  • Have previously worked in a a safety related administration role.

  • Be able to use Microsoft 365, Portals and Collaboration tools would be an advantage.
