Office Administrator and Bookkeeper

BushCare Services is an ecological restoration business that services bushland and parks through programs of environmental fieldwork. An exciting new part-time opportunity for an experienced Office Administrator in their Logan - Bethania depot has recently become available.

You will be responsible for bookkeeping, project administration functions and overseeing financial reporting. You will oversee and fulfil financial management practices and the administration of BushCare’s systems. You will also be able to work autonomously and collaboratively with our management team.

You will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of management and professional practices with responsibilities for business finance and information systems.

Candidates who have previously administered and supported service-related industries will be highly regarded.

Day to day you will contribute by:

  • Performing book-keeping duties including accounts receivable, payable and reconciliations.

  • Client invoicing.

  • Completing payroll and administrating employee entitlements.

  • Managing financial performance tools including cash flow projections.

  • Monitoring and reporting on business performance figures.

  • Perform scheduled administration and front reception duties.

  • Set up new field jobs and projects and track progress.

  • Oversee supporting client reporting responsibilities.

  • Maintain and organise company records to be compliant with our Quality Management systems ISO9001.

To be successful as part of this team you will have:

  • Bachelor of business, finance or equivalent (desirable)

  • A minimum of five years experience in a similar administrative position, ideally a services business.

  • Previous experience in a book/keeper administration role and experience using QuickBooks.

  • Strong proven finance skills.

  • Experience using IT systems including cloud and Microsoft suite of programs.

  • It goes without saying that you will have:

  • A high level of written communication skills for internal and external correspondence.

  • Familiarity with book-keeping software functions including payroll, BAS and reporting.

  • Knowledge of MS Sharepoint and One Drive.

  • Great people skills whilst working with our clients, stakeholders and team members.

  • Ability to manage and problem solve and be adept to learning and improving current systems.

  • Experience working in an organisation that is compliant with Quality Assurance systems.
